How did you find out about proton therapy?
I read an article in the Sunday Oklahoman about a patient who had proton therapy at ProCure.

Why did you decide to become an advocate for ProCure and proton therapy?
So many people with cancer issues have not heard of proton therapy as an option. We are very happy to do whatever we can to spread information and share our “story” to help someone else know about this treatment.

What is your favorite memory of your time at ProCure?
The great staff that sincerely cares for the patients and making lifetime friendships with other patients in our treatment “group”.

What is a fun life event, accomplishment or milestone that you have experienced since graduating from ProCure?
My wife and I participated in the Zero Prostate Cancer Walk in OKC. We attended our oldest grandson’s wedding at Secret Gardens in Elk City which was awesome! We also were able to watch another grandson participate in two college golf tournaments.

If you would like to speak to a former ProCure Oklahoma City patient about their treatment experience, please call our Proton Advocates Manager Vickie Weigel at (405)773-6709.
