Princeton Radiation Oncology (PRO), a division of Princeton Radiology Associates PA, is a 10- physician group of board-certified radiation oncologists who practice at five accredited cancer centers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The radiation oncologists, together with their team of specialized physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, and nurses, provide patients with an array of advanced cancer treatments in an intimate, patient-centered environment. PRO physicians are respected leaders in their field and have trained at premier cancer centers including MGH/Harvard Medical School, Johns Hopkins, University of Pennsylvania, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering. All have published literature in radiation oncology and many have been named as top doctors by their peers.

Princeton Radiology Associates (PRA) is a 33-physician group practice that provides diagnostic radiology services at one hospital and four imaging centers in central New Jersey as well as radiation-oncology services through PRO. In addition to providing direct patient care, the physicians of PRA established a research division, Princeton Radiology Pharmaceutical Research (RadPharm), which is now an internationally recognized leader in evaluating the efficacy of novel pharmaceutical agents for the treatment of cancer and other diseases.

The Care Teams

At the ProCure Proton Therapy Center, your care will be managed by both your doctor and your Care Team, who will manage your therapy throughout your treatment. We understand the importance of personal relationships, and your Care Team will make it a point to know you and your loved ones and will look for ways to make you comfortable while you are with us.

Your Care Team is composed of:

  • Your consulting radiation oncologist from Princeton Radiation Oncology
  • A registered nurse with experience in radiation therapy
  • Board-certified radiation therapists
  • Treatment team assistants

A member of your Care Team will assist you as you prepare for your daily treatment and make sure that you are fully informed about your progress. Your nurse will be your medical liaison and help coordinate any additional medical services you might need during treatment, including blood tests, scans, medical appointments, and other cancer treatment in combination with your proton-therapy treatment.

Besides the Care Team members you interact with during treatment sessions, an expanded team of professionals work hard behind the scenes to ensure your treatment is personalized in order to achieve the best possible outcome. This team includes dosimetrists, medical physicists, machinists, engineers, an intake nurse, concierge, financial counselor, social worker, and dietician.
