John Cameron, Ph.D.

Founder, President, and Chairman  

Dr. Cameron has a long and distinguished career in nuclear physics, medical technology, applications of accelerators, and research and development administration, and is among the pioneers in proton therapy. He played a pivotal role in the development of the Midwest Proton Radiotherapy Institute in Bloomington, Indiana, leading it from initial funding through construction.

Dr. Cameron served as professor of physics and director of the Indiana University Cyclotron Facility and has directed major multidisciplinary research and development institutes for the past 20 years. He has received more than $200 million in grants and contracts and served on numerous advisory and review boards for the United States and foreign research agencies.

Dr. Cameron received his undergraduate degree in 1962 from Queens University, Northern Ireland, with first-class honors, and his PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles, (UCLA) in 1967.

Hadley Ford

Chief Executive Officer

Hadley Ford has been involved in ProCure's development since its founding in 2005. He is a veteran of the financial industry with more than 16 years of experience raising and deploying capital for service and technology businesses. Most recently, he headed up the East Coast Technology Group and was managing director at Banc of America Securities. Mr. Ford has also served as CFO of Clearway Technologies and vice president in the Communications, Media, and Entertainment Group at Goldman Sachs as well as on numerous boards.

Mr. Ford graduated summa cum laude with a BS, BA, from Boston University and received his MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Joe Norflus

Interim Chief Financial Officer

Joe Norflus joined ProCure as the Interim Chief Financial Officer in September, 2011. Joe spent 24 years in the investment banking industry, and has worked with multiple major financial firms including Goldman Sachs and Barclays Capital. After leaving Wall Street, he began working as an independent financial consultant and spent four months advising ProCure in late 2009.

Joe received an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a ScB degree in Applied Mathematics/Economics from Brown University.

John Henderson

Chief Development Officer

John Henderson has extensive experience in planning and corporate development, and has been involved in ProCure's growth since the early stages of the company. He has overseen the successful launch and operation of ProCure’s product innovations, center development, and internal operations for all centers in our expanding network. Prior to joining ProCure, he served as president of the George B. H. Macomber Company, a $225 million Boston-based service company, providing early facility planning to major institutions and corporations in the Northeast. While there, he grew Macomber revenues fivefold. Mr. Henderson has planned and developed more than 2 million square feet of healthcare facilities and more than 4 million square feet of fast track and technical industry construction and technically complex interdisciplinary research facilities.

Mr. Henderson earned a BA in English Literature at Northwestern University and his MBA at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

Eugen Hug, MD

Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer  

Dr. Hug is a world-renowned expert in proton radiotherapy. A pioneer in the use of proton therapy for pediatric tumors, Dr. Hug has spent more than 20 years treating patients, teaching, writing and conducting research. He was principal or co-investigator of various clinical trials, including studies focusing on proton therapy. He is widely published in radiation oncology periodicals and books, authoring numerous journal articles or chapters. Additionally, he is a sought-after lecturer and teacher at international medical meetings, symposia, and seminars.

As the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer for ProCure, Dr. Hug oversees medical operations, clinical research and treatment protocols for all of ProCure’s proton therapy centers. Prior to joining ProCure, Dr. Hug served as Director of the Center for Proton Therapy at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen, Switzerland and as Professor and Chair of Proton-Radiotherapy at the University of Zurich. He has also held leadership positions as Chief of the Section of Radiation Oncology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and as Associate Director of the NCI-designated Norris Cotton Cancer Center in Lebanon, N.H. He presently co-chairs the educational subcommittee of the international Particle Therapy Co-Operative Group (PTCOG).

Dr. Hug received his medical degree from Ludwig-Maximilians University Medical School in Munich, Germany, graduating summa cum laude. He undertook postgraduate training in Germany and the United States, where he served as chief resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.

Adam Waxer

Senior Vice President of Business Development & General Counsel

Mr. Waxer is responsible for all legal and business development matters pertaining to ProCure. As SVP Business Development, Mr. Waxer analyzes and develops strategies driving ProCure’s value creation and growth. He coordinates ProCure’s development function, including leading the deal execution process. In his role as General Counsel, Mr. Waxer is the key legal advisor to senior management and the Board of Directors and is responsible for overseeing all legal matters, including, but not limited to, the following areas: corporate, intellectual property, healthcare, labor/employment, financing, real estate/construction, litigation/risk management, insurance and operations.

Prior to joining ProCure, Mr. Waxer was a lawyer at Garfunkel, Wild & Travis, P.C., one of the preeminent healthcare law firms, and acted as outside healthcare counsel to ProCure. His practice focused on transactional and healthcare representations and he represented a large publicly traded company that specialized in providing radiation therapy services. Mr. Waxer’s knowledge of federal and state fraud and abuse, healthcare, corporate and regulatory laws and related legal issues facilitate his developing, structuring and implementing legal structures that pertain to hospital, facility and physician joint ventures. Mr. Waxer is a member of the New York State Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association and Association of Corporate Counsel. Mr. Waxer earned a J.D. from Hofstra University and a B.S. from The University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

Chris Chandler

Senior Vice President of Clinical Partnerships

Mr. Chandler has more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry ranging from front line clinical experience in laboratory medicine to significant operational and project development positions in both private and academic settings. Mr. Chandler established himself in the healthcare management setting as an HMO developer at the Blue Cross Blue Shield system in Florida. He became intimately involved with healthcare finance and reimbursement. Leveraging his insurance experience, Mr. Chandler followed with executive level roles in academic medicine. He operated the Department of Pathology for the School of Medicine at the University of Florida and served as the Administrator of the James Graham Brown Cancer Center at the University of Louisville, where he guided a multidisciplinary academic cancer program. Later in his career, Mr. Chandler developed a national network of medical oncology centers. Before joining ProCure, Mr. Chandler successfully developed major proton therapy programs as the Vice President and General Manger of IBA Proton Therapy in North America. There are 6 proton therapy centers under construction or operating in the United States that Mr. Chandler had an active role in developing.

Niek Schreuder


Senior Vice President of Medical Physics and Technology

Mr. Schreuder, senior vice president, medical physics and technology, is one of the foremost medical physics pioneers in the world. He was director of medical physics at the Midwest Proton Radiotherapy Institute (MPRI) where he was responsible for all medical physics related matters. Mr. Schreuder also served as the medical physicist and project manager for the Indiana University (IU)Cyclotron Facility where he led the medical physics design effort associated with MPRI. Prior to MPRI and IU, he was division head of the operations and development division of the Medical Radiation Group at Ithemba Laboratories for Accelerator Sciences (tLabs) in South Africa. At tLabs, Mr. Schreuder developed the computerized patient positioning system for proton therapy using a commercial robotic arm. Mr. Schreuder earned a BS with honors in radiation physics, a Diploma in Datametrics, and an MS in physical sciences in medical sciences from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.

John Frick


Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Strategy

John Frick had served as an advisor and board member for ProCure for five years before joining the company as the Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Strategy. He has extensive experience investing in venture capital, leveraged buyouts and turnaround situations, with particular emphasis on healthcare services and healthcare technology. This experience was through Chisholm Private Capital Partners, Capricorn Investors, the Penn Central Corporation and Arthur Andersen & Co.

Mr. Frick has served on Oklahoma Governor's Science & Technology Council since 2004. Mr. Frick graduated cum laude with a BS from Allegheny College and received a MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
